I was watching an MSNBC video about the ADL and I expected a few anti-jew comments. I was not expecting every. last. post. To be the same hateful rhetoric. These people don’t even use codewords anymore. They’re out and out pro-Nazi and anti-jewish. They crave the destruction of Jewish people, it’s sickening, it’s disturbing. It’s not just YouTube either, it’s all over social media, it’s on meme websites disguised as a joke, it’s in Discord and Twitch streams.
What’s behind this? Have the nazis stepped up their propaganda game lately? Is it a byproduct of the new red scare? Are socialist countries experiencing anything similar?
Hyper-individualist, Free speech obsessed society, so much so that even their supossedly “progressive” organizations like the ACLU do legal defense for nazis trying to march through and terrorize jewish neighborhoods.
As for why its increasing in recent years, it’s probably due to minority scapegoating becoming more pronounced in times of economic hardship, as a lightning rod to avoid criticicizing the real cause of people’s problems, capitalism. There’s been a consistent rise of hate crimes in western countries in the last few decades, especially against Asians, but Jews are also a target in many of them.
Social media companies don’t really care to moderate anti-semitism, because that takes resources they don’t want to spend.
In addition to what Muad already mentioned, I think this is also a blowback from Isn’treals actions. The zionist entity claims to speak for all jews, yet does absolutely despicable things on the daily.
When people accept this, it means all jews become complicit in their minds.
Which is ironic because they claim to oppose Israel but then get quiet when you say we should help Palestine.
Kinda like how it’s in the US’s interest for terrorism to take place (which they can use to justify wars, coups, and massive defense budgets), anti-semitism was and is pushed by Israel, so they can try to get more settlers to move there and become footsoldiers. They even did a few terrorist bombings of their own in jewish areas in europe in the 1950s iirc.
