The Finland video got recommended to me last week, it was full of brazen historical inaccuracies and “Mannerheim was the greatest of all time, complete boss of a man” and then just goes into gameplay mispronouncing all the Finnish words.

I’ve fallen asleep watching Lefty videos and woken up to YouTube playing multi-hour Right-wing podcasts. I’d say it doesn’t give a shit so long as it’s politics, but it always strays rightward the longer you let it go.

I kind of just assume you have to obfuscate and/or scrub your digital “trail” as best you can to avoid that kind of stuff everywhere now. Not too hard on the computer or maybe a phone, but most every other device is screwed. I managed to side-load a YT frontend app on an android TV and that seems to help separate things between the YT apps on the device itself.
I had similar thing few years ago where i watched dunks on Fallout 76 without realizing who i watched (i’m not into the youtuber lore) and ended up with hours of Quarteredbrain and such. And my account did recovered later, though it took A LOT of cat videos.
The thing is: nothing.
I literally never watch this shit and it somehow still gets recommended to me along with other random reactionary garbage.
Do you interact with the deranged comment sections you show here every so often? And you seem to go through some questionable reddit places, maybe your browser or mobile operating system is sharing the data
