The irony of that comment aside, talking to liberals about Ukraine has felt like a waste of time for a few years now. The only progress I’ve made with them is pointing out how the way they talk about and dehumanize Russians is disgusting and racist. I’ve only ever made progress in person too.
It really has become a cult in a very literal sense. They have their sacred truths handed down to them by their media priests, and those cannot be questioned. Anybody who disagrees with them is by definition acting in bad faith because the truths are self evident.
