Do you listen to music? Do you have a drink on hand? Do you read it lying down or sitting at a table? Etc I personally used to do it (when I read mostly physical books) lying down before I slept, that being harder now with school, now I mostly listen to audiobooks while I’m doing something or playing a game, and for school I’ll probably listen to some instrumental music (many of which hip hop, I’d suggest instrumental versions of Aesop Rock, El-P, and Diabolic among others)

You seem to be much more of a reader than I. I’ll personally mostly read for school, and I’ll probably listen to an audiobook about as often as I’ll listen to one of my many podcasts
You have any recommended book lists you’ve made?

Based shitter reader ^
Snuggled up on the couch with “12 Hours of Crackling Fireplace, Fire Sounds, Relaxing 4K” pulled up on my TV
I sit at a table. I have no idea how y’all read in bed.
I struggle a fair bit with reading, so I typically read in my reading nook with good lighting while wearing noise-cancelling headphones (with no music) as I live in a noisy place and am very sensitive to noise. I am usually only able to read 30-60 minutes a day, and I’m a slow reader, so it takes me a while to get through most books. I try to get all my books as physical books, as I find that easier to read than on my e-reader for some reason, and I find that I am unable to focus on audio books.

Typically I do audio, but a lot of the time I use .pdf files online and eat some food with a big glass of ice water. Keeps my brain feeling fresh and like I don’t have to do anything but concentrate and eat :)
Almost always audiobooks nowadays, since I can listen while commuting, doing chores, exercising, going for a walk… I know Mao would be proud when I’m listening to his man WEB Dubois on leg day.
I usually have instrumental music going for almost all waking hours because it helps my tinnitus.
