I understand why Libs and conservatives all jumped on the Ukraine Train, but as Zelenskyy draws this out and attacked Zaporizhzhiya, and bans opposition parties and draws Nazis into the official military forces, when will they at least say “No War” as opposed to actively Cheering on Ukraine?
Thing is Zelensky does not control anything. There was a video going around of him right before the war trying to get his own troops to stop attacking the Donbass, even reminding them he’s not “some random guy but your president” and they just do not care at all.
Also look at all of the VICE and similar type media documentaries. Ukraine Army was forbidden from using “volunteers” (read: a lot of them fascists), but VICE kept meeting up with the volunteers and seeing them meet with officers. They would also show soldiers breaking the ceasefire, but of course they were “just responding to Russian attacks.” They were hiding in homes when they shot, and those homes got shelled when the separatists responded.
The Ukraine military and paramilitaries escalated this conflict into hot war again despite top down direction from the Zelensky camp forbidding them from doing so.
Let’s be real though, the military was mostly just angry with the volunteers because they brought negative attention to them. By baiting artillery strikes they were harming the military’s defense buildup over 8 years.
