They hate our man Cena for speaking fluent mandarin and apologizing for making offensive comments, two things that liberals can never do.

He claimed that Taiwan was a country, which it is clearly not. The insinuation that Taiwan is an independent state is an affront to the belief of not only the people of the PRC who do not recognize the ROC as an independent state, but also to those in the ROC, who believe that Taiwan is not independent, but part of the ROC which they believe is the legitimate government of all of China.

He literally did not. He merely said its name, which should be very standard.

Oh, it’s absolutely for racist reasons. This deepfake shows up in all those racist as fuck “social credit score meme” videos and the like, not even subtle about the racist caricatures of chinese people these videos feature. Annoys me that something so obviously vile is just accepted under the justification “but the ebil seeseepee guberment bad, so racism is okay this time.”

          This dehumanization needs to end.

Yeah I mean there’s nothing hilarious about an actor publicly apologizing and kissing China’s ass for several minutes while speaking mandarin to connect with the Chinese fanbase because he said “Taiwan” that one time. Definitely not news-worthy that such a popular actor would have to stoop so low because a powerful government throws a fit whenever people talk about its politics…

The fact that people in this community are ignorant about it really says a lot.

If a popular Chinese actor were to insinuate that Scotland was an independent country, would that not be offensive to the people of the UK? Or if they were to insinuate that Quebec was independent of Canada? Or that Alaska was independent of the US?

And Obviously he apologized in Chinese, if he has the ability to speak Chinese and is speaking to a Chinese audience then why the hell not?

LOL. No. The people in the UK aren’t that fragile, and Scotland and Ireland are referred to by their names by default. Everyone says “Scotland” and “Ireland”, and they’re semi-independent and have their own free governments. Everyone is okay with it. Everyone can say Alaska and Quebec. And for the record, John Cena didn’t infer that Taiwan was an independent country, he merely referred to it by its name, but of course you wouldn’t bother fact checking that.

Just to be clear, your claim that he apologized just because “He said referred to Taiwan by it’s name” is complete bullshit, he was giving an interview to a Taiwanese news Channel and said “Taiwan would be the first Country to be able to watch the new Fast and Furious movie.”.

Look up what you’re shit talking before making up strawmen.

Yeah it is not hilarious at all. If anything its kinda badass and unexpected that he can speak mandarin like that, but thats it.

Yall only mad that he said Taiwan is part of China, but if he was defending shit the CIA crimes like Krasinski defended or writing an autograph on a fucking missile like Chris “Captain America” Evans did (this one is actually funny, it looks like parody) you would be ignoring or simping for them
