Yeah, just look at this crap. Half of them are just stripes and most of the rest are stripes with crusty old heraldry plastered.
I like that Belarus’s flag is nearly exactly the same today as the SSR but just without the little hammer and sickle. If they ever decide to go back it won’t take a lot of rebranding.
Communists, on the other hand, can take a so-so design, and with one little addition turn it into something beautiful and eye-catching:
