    More from that thread :

It should be said that wars are often the result of unintended consequences. Wars can easily escalate due to miscalculation, accidental confrontations, miscommunication, and extraneous events that on the surface seemingly have no direct connection to a conflict that mushrooms out of control. Sometimes it can the result of s personal slight or the egotistical psychological need of fulfillment by an unhinged psychopath or megalomaniac. We may in fact be seeing a combination of the above in the case of President Putin’s mistaken intel on how the Ukrainians would welcome his forces with flowers and flags. Or that his military was superior and unstoppable. Or that the Ukrainians would fold like a cheap tent when confronted by overwhelming military force. None of that happened as we now know. To the contrary, the intelligence on Ukraine was terribly flawed. The vaulted invincibility of Russian forced was missing in action. Superior weapon systems failed at a spectacular rate. The entire male population and even women and the elderly took up weapons to defend their homeland and freedom of choice with an extraordinary display of patriotism and bravery. Moreover poorly trained and equipped Russian conscripts were lied to and told this was a training exercise, and when confronted with poor logistical support, including lack if basics like food, water, petrol and ammunition, with reports they literally surrendered their tanks and heavy equipment and disappeared into the countryside instead of fighting. This enraged Putin and he ordered the destruction of infrastructure and civilian targets in violation of the Geneva Accords in such barbarism it can only be classified as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Yes, they sent conscripts to Ukraine, told them its just an exercise and they believed it (please dont laugh!). Very believable. Its also a great strategy to win a war, 21st century warfare.

Which is worse, that the person who wrote this is pulling stuff out of their ass and just feels like it could be true and genuinely believes it, or that the person who wrote this is gleefully, intentionally lying?
