The difference between lend-lease then and lend-lease today is that Britain had an empire, which, to simplify, the US expropriated as partial payment for wartime debt. Even then, much of the WWII era debt remains on the books between the US and the UK.

Today, Ukraine has no such empire, nor does the Zionist Entity. The debt cannot be repaid, but likely only scarcely maintained through ever more brutal oppression and exploitation of the working people in those respective nations.

That does all track with Yellen’s history of vile hatred for working people.

Have Frost & Yellen temporarily memory-holed the cold war with China?

Nah, the neocons just believe that America is so omnipotent they can wage a three front war simultaneously against Russia, China AND most of the Middle East.

She did, and as far as I know she came home with nothing to show for it.

Yeah, the US can actually support two of the three. I can only anticipate the consequences.

:yeonmi-park: In capitalist America, the government makes everyone equally poor so even getting a job isn’t enough to pay for food except for the few people who control the government
