The Daily Beast attacked Gonzalo Lira, going so far as to contact the Ukrainian government to make them aware of Lira’s work. Lira confirmed that, after The Daily Beast’s article, he was arrested by the Ukrainian secret police.

If shitty tabloids can get people arrested now then that’s very dark news for lemmygrad…

Its tough for journos, but at least on these platforms we shouldn’t be using real names.

Up to you, but every few months its a good idea to change up your username, especially if you’re the type to give away personal info like your name, email, location, etc.

Mintpress calling to “rebuild alternative media” are missing the point. If alternative media is being destroyed by social media censorship then the solution lies with the promotion and construction of alternative social media.

They should be putting every effort into making alternative social media platforms led by the left grow. The future landscape of media is going to split into ideologies and the same goes for social media as it no longer pretends to be apolitical.

r/Australia just had a video of a bushmaster being delivered to Ukrainians and its all “give em hell.” I cant even bring my self to joke. “They found the only Ukrainian soldiers that aren’t Nazis for this photo op! or is it just luck that they aren’t showing their right shoulders and helmets with the swastikas on them?”

That’s actually not that demented for Reddit. r/worldnews threads are teeming with idiots roaring to provoke a nuclear war with Russia.
