Holodomor is not a genocide but Stalin is still an authoritarian. NB : I did not watch the video, from the comments fairly sure it is a banger like uyghur genocide video.

Yep. More attempts at centrist fencesitting “nuance” from BE.

“Yes the western narrative is one big lie and here’s proof, BUT China/Stalin still bad”

Ugh. And i thought he was getting over this infantile phase.

There’s nuance, and there’s nooance. BadEmpanada is the latter.

I watched the whole thing and it was based until the very end.

I’ve never heard anyone claim that peasants were “starving themselves to death to get back at the government.” That assertion only makes sense if kulaks were the same as any other peasant, but they weren’t. They were petty bourgeoisie who owned a lot of farmland and hired poorer peasants to work for them. They killed their own livestock and burned their own crops to protest agricultural collectivization since it meant a direct loss of private property for them. This exacerbated the famine but didn’t cause it, which is the academic consensus.

And I’m not gonna address every point he made against Stalin but basically, hindsight is 20/20 and the USSR wasn’t better after he was gone cuz y’know, the country collapsed. Not saying he was perfect, but he was definitely a Marxist-Leninist developing socialism in a world that wanted the USSR dead. Like Lenin said, it was easy for Russia to start the socialist revolution, but it’ll be more difficult for Russia than for other European countries to continue it.

he lives in argentina, right ? no yeah it doesnt really surprise me, Argentina is silly like that, they think that they’re part of the first world or something because they’re more ‘‘developped’’ than the majority of its neighbours so its not surprising that its populace is fully westernized
