i honestly have no idea where that guy came from or how he got an audience. he seems like someone who managed to pull off a few good trolls and then decided he liked the attention so that became his whole personality
My understanding is that in 2017 Canada passed a bill that added gender identity/expression as a protected class to already existing anti-discrimination, anti-hate speech, and anti-hate crime laws.
This ghoul then misinterpreted the bill, possibly due to a failure of reading comprehension, but most likely on purpose out of malice for trans people. He’d go on long and incoherent rants to anyone who would listen about how you’ll be sent to prison for misgendering someone. While that would be cool and good, it’s not at all what the bill does. He quickly gained a following from this, pulling in transphobes like a sponge soaking up piss.
