Do you guys think that the central powers where just as bad as the Allies or it haved more nuance then that?
WW1 was the natural conclusion of the existence of multiple Imperialist superpowers. So yeah, all of them were evil.
Interimperialist conflict; the Entente was practically equal to the Central Powers. Sure, somebody could try to argue that one side was ‘less evil’ than the other, but how would you quantify that? And what good would it do?
Personally, what I find most interesting about the conflict is just how much of it flies in the face of capitalist propaganda. It exposes, for example, how much liberals truly value ‘freedom of speech’, and that capitalism didn’t save neutral countries like Sweden from the effects of sanctions.
For Greece in particular… well… I think that this post really speaks for itself. It’s chilling.
yeah pretty much. there was no objectively correct side in that war
My family members labelled it as a large dogfight between imperialist powers
Is your guys’ last name Ulyanov by any chance?
That would be cool aye? They are students of his though lol
Seeing that all the powers wanted to flex their powers and go to war, they got exactly what they deserved

Thats interesting, i did not know about the public banking thing.
I really don’t like seeing so many people using the word “evil” in a discussion here. Are you a bunch of fucking libs brought up by Marvel movies or what?

My school taught that the germans lost militarily and then signed the Treaty of Versailles.
WWII actually ended due to revolutions caused by the conditions of the war: Soviet Union, Ireland, Weimar Germany, Turkey, etc
