Yeh it’s going down. this is just the beginning:
UPDATE: I am in the process of ripping marxists.org and processing it into a neat file structure.
Perhaps you would be interested in our library in ProleWiki.
Any contribution is a good one!
I made a mega link of the 200 or so books I collected over time here: https://mega.nz/folder/KzwG2DYY#WCJfoGA39Y_bihJ9RTZPpA. There’s a lot of stuff including Chomsky and Trotsky lol, but also very good authors like Kwame Nkrumah, Parenti, and Fanon.
Also would lemmygrad or ProleWiki (@muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml @felipeforte@lemmygrad.ml ) be open to opening a (private?) tracker on their website? We could p2p files to the masses with it directly. You know, add a little nfo that reads “This archive was made available through ProleWiki.com” or something. Though I don’t suspect there would be as much traffic as thepiratebay, I figure it’s essentially a 0-cost service (unless I completely misunderstand trackers lol)
There’s no need for a private tracker, we can just post the torrents publicly. I have a 1337x.to account (mainly for my audiobooks) so I can post it to there, and add it to https://torrents-csv.ml too. That prolewiki line you can add to the torrent comments.
“Also would lemmygrad or ProleWiki (@muad_dibber@lemmygrad.ml @felipeforte@lemmygrad.ml ) be open to opening a (private?) tracker on their website?”
I have no idea how to do that, but sure, if someone from the administration knows, we can try to set it up.
I think we found the same torrent comrade, some pretty cringe selections in there lol. But it did help me fluff up the torrent.
You remind me that I probably typed “marxism books torrent” and downloaded whatever I could find lol. I know that some of these books were from a reddit post (on soviet socialism), others were from my own downloads (Nkrumah, Fanon, Parenti, most of the one-off stuff), and a few were Verso books when they had a free sale.
I’ll still be keeping the cringe in the archive because it’s not eating up too much space and people can decide if they want to read them, but it definitely needs some cleaning up in the files themselves. Lost of doubles in mobi and epub.
Update 2: It’s coming along quite nicely, I got all the foundational essentials and whatnot. I’m finding it’s not that hard to convert html files to ebooks but it is tedious so maybe I can automate it somehow.
here is a sneak peak!
What font is that? Looks nice.
Oh that’s “TerminessTTF Nerd Font Mono 14”

Legit! Make sure before you create the torrent, you rename that calibre folder.
What about using Tribler?
Never heard of of it, despite living in the FOSS community. I’ll check it outttt
Here’s one socialist_books_starter_pack.
But ya that’s a bit old and doesn’t have a lot of the newly digitized books.
I’ve never made a torrent before, but it can’t be that hard. Maybe I can use this as a starting point.
Its not too difficult. If you use an ebook manager like calibre, it’ll let you export to a folder, that you can then make a torrent out of.
What is the status of this project?
how is this going?
