I mean they also supported Polpot and Vietnam had to sort that mess out

I’ll preface the folowing with the revisionists running the CCP led by Xi are currently humanities greatest hope when surveying the political landscape of the world and I do believe Xi is trying to right the CCP onto more Marxist-leninist lines however slowly and tentatively…but:

Mao (and Maoists) suck with foreign policy and the third worlds theory and the analysis of ‘soviet social imperialism’ were some of the dumbest ‘contributions’ to Marxism ever

It allowed Mao to meet with fucking Nixon and Kissenger and be manipulated into working against the revisionist Soviet Union because under a Maoist analysis the revisionist Soviet Union was just as imperialist as United States: at the time the US was setting the entire world on fire from the murderous Korean war to Vietnam and all the South American coups and military dictatorships inbetween

The revisionist (social imperialist) soviet union was still a hundred million times more progressive than the fkn United States

Personally i think Mao belongs up there with the greatest revisionists since Kautsky, Trotsky, Bernstein etc.

i think Enver Hoxhas analysis of Maos China is essentially correct (outlined in a series of articles linked at the below link)

    As well as the Kkes

But really everything on the first link should be read

There’s a lot I’d like to argue with here, but I’ve only just started reading into Maoism and don’t have the confidence to have such an argument. But I do want to make a clarification, Maoists don’t uphold Mao as some perfect figure beyond critique. Maoism is the third stage of revolutionary science that took the good, universal aspects of Mao’s theory and praxis, building on Marxism-Leninism, and applied it to making revolution. Maoism is not doing what Mao did. Maoism only came into being in 1988 through the people’s war in Peru and then properly in 1993 For further reading:

So Mao endorsed the Three Worlds theory

        https://espressostalinist.com/2011/08/30/series-on-maoist-revisionism-mao-endorses-the-three-worlds-theory-dengs-u-n-speech/

This Left deviation sent most Maoists into a tailspin and is why even today they cannot get a decent grasp on foreign policy vis a vis the revisionists in China (which they are)

But they would rather fight against ‘Chinese social imperialism’ than understand the main contradiction today is between neoliberalism (devolving into fascism) led by Christian fundamentalists in the West versus Chinese revisionism

In my opinion Mao never even built socialism in China (as outlined by Enver in in first comment as well as Kke) compared to the Maoist belief that the capitalist roaders followed Mao.

In left wing circles due to their terrible state of really existing socialism there is a tendency to “uphold China as socialist”

This is nonsense. Revisionism under Kruschev was able to do what the Nazis could not do an complete and total war

It is perfectly acceptable to say that “communist parties should call time on any other parties not supporting China during the era of great power competition and likely war” than whittling marxism-leninism into revisionism and pretending China is socialist by any objective measure we used to validate the Ussr had built socialism by 1933

This was a very sad episode of Year Hare Affair. (for anybody who doesn’t know what I’m talking about, it’s a short historically accurate allegorical Chinese international history anime, here’s episode 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZleHdPxFyo&list=PLtKm9tbljwlslEqjFdRZ44MRhi4-j7C6R&index=1)
