One time I was out in town doing outreach for ACORN I was approached by a libertarian software engineer who was convinced that all political and social issues could be solved via coding. Class interests, state institutions, ideology and economics were irrelevant to this man; everything could be transcended by coding solutions. I had to have had one of the most galling hours of my life listening to this person as he refused to leave me alone and go away.
