It really is just a twitter thing. The biggest “patsoc” Caleb Maupin is as youve seen not chauvinist at all, very committed to communism and antiimperialism. He has been slandered a lot by Vaush type liberals, who are actual proimperialist socialchauvinists. My guess is some twitter weirdos took the slander seriously and now LARP as “proud patsocs” online. Maupin doesnt even call himself “patsoc”.
