Brazil is still dominated by Jair Bolsonaro’s unhinged reactionary politics. Which makes it all the more incredible that the leftist housing organizer Guilherme Boulos recently defied all expectations by making it to a runoff in São Paulo’s upcoming mayoral election.
Not that I know of. From what I know the Brazilian left is clinging too hard to elections. It seems like its their only strategy. I think PCB is more radical and is trying to mobilize the masses, but they have limited support.
I mean if they saw what happened in Bolivia, I can kind of understand why they might be that way.
