That’d be green beans. In Germany they are aptly named “Brechbohnen” which can be interpreted as “vomiting-beans”.
Even after reading through the thread I can’t think of one
Soybeans
Also, bitter veggies like radicchio or chicory
Broccoli. Anything green really.
black salsify
I’m amazed that noone mentionned brussel sprouts
Me too, but it reminds me of this: https://xkcd.com/2241/
Asparagus. It’s the only vegetable I actively can’t eat.
do you have an allergy or do you just dislike it as is?
I just hate the taste TBH
- Cucumber
- Zucchini
- Cauliflower
spinach
beet by far
When I was a kid, I despised asparagus. I was fine with pretty much anything else, so I didn’t get any complaints from my parents. Then all of the sudden, I was fine with it. Now I can’t think of any vegetable that I wouldn’t eat as long as it has decent preparation.
Happened to me with broccoli. When I became an adult, a switch flipped at some point and it became one of my favourite vegetables. Similar thing with green peppers in my teens.
My husband loves all sorts of veggies (I call him my rabbit), but one of the few exceptions is that he despises green peppers.
Broccoli and chard.
The lentil (Lens culinaris or Lens esculenta).
I actually love most of the veggies already posted here. Maybe I would have said cauliflower in the past, but I have since experienced fried cauliflower nuggets, and those are amazing. So it has to be peas for me. Peas are just not my thing.
Sometimes I wonder whether most people who hate a vegetable mostly just have bad experiences with how it’s served. Mushy cauliflower without much seasoning is boring, but there are plenty of ways to use it that are excellent, especially if you are enhancing something else like making a soup creamy.
