With the ruling having been made and the state preparing the upcoming uprisings I think fellow American comrades here should absolutely know by now that the state had absolutely no intention of willing to give even the smallest ground to it’s citizenry. The time for peaceful protesting is at an end.

If we’re strong enough then perhaps we can organize into small enclaves where we would operate. If I could find any communists in my area I hope to pool our resources together to create some kind of mutual network. The state will not negotiate and neither should we.

The time for peaceful protesting is at an end.

Why did it even start? Minneapolis should have been the base template for protests when the whole thing started in May. Instead we got people chanting “No Justice, No peace!” at a peaceful protest.

I couldn’t tell you what exactly makes one place have uprisings and another just demonstrations. I’ve been to one with lots of police but it was mostly people speaking and handing out fliers, I was even given a DSA one. Where i live did have uprisings in June but it’s gotten quiet. Most of these protests and uprisings are for the most part unorganized; usually Its the high numbers mixed in a crowd that could lead to full blown riot. The police presence seems to agitate, so with many numbers and an angry enough crowd and hawkish police we could see another Minneapolis or Portland. But you’re right in that Minneapolis is truly the template for a full blown uprising, and it happening simultaneously is good to truly stir things up.

General fear of increased repression or liberals co-opting things perhaps. It’s really strange to me to see that pure optimism at the start, the national support for the burning of a precinct with people going “a riot is the language of the unheard” etc, DC burning and then suddenly we’re back at peaceful protests? What?
