They have released some truly Trotskyite Adventurism with their “neither Lukashenko nor the opposition” as they are both representatives of the bourgeois
Completely ignoring the context of Lukhashenko - ie. not privatising like mad like what happened to Russia.
Politsturm make bullshit, trotskyite esq. claims it does not matter who comes out on top as they both represent reaction and Marxist-Leninist stance is to support the workers.
They then use a Lenin quote which contradicts their entire thesis and their cringe ultra left stance about it being “too late to form the (communist) organisation in times of explosion”
So that ultimately means that Belarus has 2 fates - subsumed into the Nato empire and strengthening reaction or maintaining an either independence from Russia or being subsumed into Russia
Option 1 strengthens reaction
Option 2 Means Russia is not weakened and Russia today is a principle anti-imperialist nation
Not because Russia has any particular desire to but merely due to the hegemonic status of United States imperialism that any push back against that imperialism is therefore progressive (which side should win Syrian civil war for instance - American backed jihadis or the Syrian Army and Assad?
Who should win in Ukraine? The Donbass separatists filled with communists or Kiev which is filled with nazis?
The below I’ve copied from /r/europeansocialists on the nature of the opposition (this is not even mentioning the flag the opposition are waving is a nazi collaborationist flag)
Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya in Vilnius held a meeting with United States Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun and thanked US “for the support of the Belarusian people”.
After the failure of attempts to immediately overthrow Lukashenko, they actively started talking about the “Venezuelan scenario of Lukashenko’s overthrow”.
The Venezuelan scenario means the collapse of the living standards of the majority of Belarusians inside Belarus and the looting of Belarusian assets abroad. The coordinating сouncil of the opposition directly says that it is necessary to worsen the standard of living in Belarus in order to push people against Lukashenko.
The fact that the “Venezuelan scenario” was discussed suggests that the original plan to overthrow failed.
I was President of Venezuela. And I was the President of Belarus
Moscow said that Russia is ready to refinance Belarusian debts.
Poland officially refused to recognize the results of the elections in Belarus and consider Lukashenko the legitimate President of Belarus.
Also, Poland has opened visa-free entry for “victims of Lukashenko’s repressions” and will insist on the introduction of economic sanctions against Belarus.
Lukashenko responded by saying that a hybrid war and “diplomatic carnage” had been unleashed against Belarus, but Poland, with its plans to tear off Grodno from Belarus, would not get anything in the end.
Poland is strengthening its military presence near the borders of Belarus.
In Russia, a reserve of law enforcement officers has been formed, which will provide assistance to Belarus if necessary. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The reserve was created at the request of Lukashenko.
Following Poland, the Czech Republic announced the need to impose sanctions against Belarus.
Having received the necessary assistance from Russia and strengthened the loyalty of the state apparatus, Lukashenko said today that the situation in Belarus is stabilizing.
Lukashenko ordered to begin the reorientation of the trade flows through Lithuania to other countries. 30% of the Lithuanian budget is formed by Belarusian cargo flows through Lithuania.
An entire session of the European Parliament’s foreign Affairs Committee on the situation in Belarus was disrupted because the deputies were deciding how to pronounce the name of the former presidential candidate correctly. It turned out that when foreigners adhere to the “Russian” version of “Tsikhanouskaya”, they thereby seem to recognize that Belarus is part of Russia’s sphere of interests. And this is an ideological failure. They decided to stay on the Polish variation of “Tsikhanouska”.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced the suspension of any contacts with Belarusian colleagues in order to avoid reputational, political and moral losses.
Thing is: Politsturm is good but they also do not support AES (Actually Existing Socialism). Laos, Vietnam, China, and Angola are pretty much ignored. And they have nothing but contempt for countries like Venezuela and previously Bolivia. I’m not saying that they aren’t good when it comes to the basics and even beyond the basics, but I feel that what they feel is “orthodox” is really just revisionism without them realizing it.
Perhaps they’re reluctant to defend AES, but we need to defend AES now more than ever and tell people the truth.
They are totally soviet centric.
USSR was socialist. fuck everyone else. Typical western leftists in effect, but with a different aesthetic.
That’s what I think as well.
