A book by François Martin and "Jean Barrot" (aka Gilles Dauvé), influential since the 1970s among the English-speaking ultra-left. The themes include the refusal of work, the legacy of left communism/the ultra-left, and a restatement of revolution, as not merely a singular event, but the unleashing of a dynamic – 'communisation'.
Libcom very rarely produces its own content. (But when it does, it’s trash, you are correct). It is however a bit silly to ignore the website out of hand, as it does often times is the sole place you can find extremely good texts, even ones inherently connected to ML thought.
In this case, it’s a whole ass book from a group of neo leftcommunists from France part of the “communization movement” called Theorie Communiste. It’s the most marxist compatible group of the communization movement, contrasted with endnotes, which is way worse and more connected to anarchism. This specific text is a collection of essays from the late 60s and early 80s.
I read it a while back, it does provides interesting insights, but ultimately its largely useless. Leftcom /ultra academic navel gazing.

Prior to that, since the /r/cth ban, I was hanging out in their discord waiting for their lemmy instance to come up, quite enthusiastically too.
I got banned last week from there due to calling out the mod team stanning transphobes, and questioning why they gave people purposefully misgendering users the same punishment as people calling radlibs spouting CIA lies “cia leftists”.
A large group of ML and trans people who were banned joined together and tried to figure out what was going on. Turned out a chaser cis guy with pedo tendencies groomed his way into top tier mod position, so we tried to get beatnikthespian to clean house but he ended up siding with above mentioned chaser, and even more ML and trans users were kicked (fatpollo was there and left out of disgust). So we abandoned the fight fully, and are now either joining the communism lemmy or going to various other discords (like tankie bunker).

The rest basically massacred a 10k big discord, by making it seen as toxic and dangerous by both trans and ML discords and subs still alive in reddit. It’s a shitshow lol. Fatpollo and I are still in contact, he might post here, but it seems he retracted into twitter. He is also considering organizing finally, joining my party yay.

Not really a fan of discord and I’ve had first-hand experience with anarchists on discord myself to understand the pain (in my case, it was the whole Blizzard HK and Xi=Pooh garbage of last year), so I don’t really need more confirmation on how anarchists are like. You can shoot me a general tankie discord, though I’m not sure how active I’ll be on there. I used to use discord for gaming but I gave up on it since I couldn’t find AES supporting comrades to play with, just the usual anarcho-chauvinists and lib communities.
