Awesome! Keep going, it only gets easier as you start to really grasp the concepts (and get used to the historical context of these older texts).

Have you been reading a lot of theory lately or is this your first dive in? Asking because it gets easier with practice.

Also, any parts that were particularly difficult for you that you’d like to discuss?

I can confirm it does become much easier the more you read, not only you get used to reading the topics about politics, economics and sociology (among others), but also everything unclear become cleared and explained more time from more angles, often with adding context, nuances and examples.

The only theory I have read besides State and Revolution is On Authority and The Communist Manifesto

Well two approaches you could take:

            • Power through it and reread parts as needed
            • Read something a bit less intense until you are more used to it. I find Stalin to be a much easier author to read so maybe take a look at some of his writings

Also if anything is particularly confusing or difficult ask the community for help and I’m sure we can help explain it or give the relevant context

Are you still reading Lenin? How’s it going – did it get any easier?

That’s acceptable! I’ve had to do the same and I still do now and again. I got completely lost with Marx at first. Even the Communist Manifesto was a bit too complex. I read it and thought I understood, but I later realised that I had misunderstood most of it. So I read three or four biographies of Marx and some easy introductions to Marxism before going back to Marx and the other founders. The background knowledge from the biographies helped a lot (although now I think that some of the biographers misunderstood some of the basics, too!). Better to read comprehensible texts easily then go back to the more difficult texts later.
