I can confirm it does become much easier the more you read, not only you get used to reading the topics about politics, economics and sociology (among others), but also everything unclear become cleared and explained more time from more angles, often with adding context, nuances and examples.
Read something a bit less intense until you are more used to it. I find Stalin to be a much easier author to read so maybe take a look at some of his writings
