Productivity jumped as offices closed, and stayed high through 2021. When companies started mandating a return to the office, productivity dropped sharply.
it seems that working from home is better than working in another place
Yeah the company I work for is trying to bring everyone back because the new VP is some old boomer era guy that “doesn’t believe people can be productive from home.” Well over half my team is going to leave or will have to leave because we were all hired with the assumption we would be remote permanently. We are also one of the hardest working and most productive teams here. It also happens that our company is owned by Blackstone… So I’m sure there’s other reasons behind them wanting to all of sudden buy/rent some off-site office space…
