    How come American socialists find it contentious to support China but then back ethno-national separatist movements like this one?

    The answer is of course propaganda and chauvinism.

      Thanks for your insight, comrade. I probably don’t know enough about Rojava to fully formulate an opinion on them yet. I won’t falsely proclaim them as some great socialist utopia like many Westerners do, but I try and get as much information as I can.

      The article isn’t perfect I don’t think but it does break up some myths that people cling to on what’s going on.
