I say this because this exact thing happened in Poland, around 2000-2010 military was swarmed by people wanting to become soldiers because job market was shit (there was also some opportunities for really good wages as imperialist invaders in Afghanistan and Iraq). Afterwards the trends reversed and for few years already there is talk about getting the draft back.
