I wonder what they’ll do with those weapons once they’re no longer pawns of the US empire? It’s a shame that this is an entirely new situation and there’s no lessons history could teach us about arming extremist militias.

Oh good, now Amerika’s a nazi collaborator too! Couldn’t just be complicit in a zionist-backed genocide, no, now we gotta arm the Nazis. Amerika really is the Fourth fuckin Reich.

They’re not collaborators, they are the patrons, the coordinators, the puppet masters - they made this whole thing possible.

Yeah, facts; I just wasn’t expecting them to go mask-off about it when the climate among the people of the Settler Empire has been tipping against this conflict. It’s like the Democrat party doesn’t want to win in November.

That’s how it goes though. The only way for these people to survive is to double down on the white supremacy when the tide turns against them. It’s escalatory logic

I think a lot of people are learning the hard way that the party does not give a shit about them. Did outreach at an event this weekend with my socialist org and I can’t count how many times we heard some variant of “I don’t want to support Biden anymore because of what he’s doing in Gaza.”

America inspired the Nazis in the first place. America is more like the 0th Riech. Manifest destiny and the transatlantic slave trade were foundational to the entire ideology of the west and liberalism. It is infact what liberalism was developed for, finding a way to justify slavery + genocide while being against the monarchy. Liberals replaced the divine right of kings with “merit” and “genius”, which have always been conceived of as products of race and/or “culture”/“attitude”. That’s why liberals always froth at the mouth for more imperial conquest. They think of other nations as possessing inferior genes or “culture”, and thus deserving of subjugation.

“The Biden administration will allow a Ukrainian military unit with a checkered past to use U.S. weaponry, the State Department said Monday, having lifted a ban imposed years ago amid concerns in Washington about the group’s origins.”

What checkered past? What concerns about what origins? Do be more specific, Jeffery.

Also, too little too late. Who’s going to get these weapons? I know the plan now is to create a neonazi terror cell in Ukraine, but it’s sure as hell not going to turn the tide.

I thought most of Azov got wiped out?

Also, I highly doubt that “ban” was being observed that much. I mean who was gonna police them from getting US weapons? The rest of the Ukrainian military?

I don’t know where you ever got that idea from. They are bigger than ever, at least on paper. Admittedly they have lost a significant part of their most trained and motivated pre-war core by now, but a lot are still around and formally they have only gotten bigger because the Kiev regime keeps sending the best recruits and best equipment to Azov and the various other Nazi units (some of which, like Kraken, are made up of pure psychopaths…), because these units have the political connections to the Right Sector and the other Banderite political groupings that are really in charge of Ukraine.

So anything that goes to the Ukrainian military eventually ends up in their hands if it’s any good. And they’ve become more and more legitimized and more integral to the Ukrainian army as their ideology has been normalized in the ranks of the professional military and widely adopted by a large segment of the population. Also, a whole bunch of them got captured at Azovstal in Mariupol but were exchanged over time and most of them immediately went back to fighting. Really dumb move. The Russians know who these people are and won’t be taking them prisoner a second time.

But despite their reputation they’re really kind of shitty fighters. Like the IOF they’re good at terrorizing civilians, not so good at fighting wars. Mostly they fulfil the role of blocking detachments to keep the unwillingly mobilized in line and shoot anyone who tries to run or surrender. Which is ironic because there have been a bunch of instances when they themselves outright ran instead of following orders when they were sent in as a last resort, noticed the situation was FUBAR, and they just fucked off and left the poorly trained conscripts to die just to delay the Russians for a bit.

I just remember people celebrating on here when a big chunk of the forces basically got surrounded and wiped out. Hadn’t heard a lot of news about them so I figured they just dispersed into the other Nazi groups.
