Teen 80 BC: Died during childbirth
zero-teen
What? Younger people now live safer lives and longer lifespans allowing them to experience actual emotions and enjoy life?
Ah yes… child soldiers are better
The teen when he in fact dies on minute 1 of fighting because you can’t have everyone killing everyone else twice
Mfs thinking all the kids back then were professional assassins and gladiators💀
mom i would be like a legendary warrior"!!
You would be a peasant, and die from dirty water
Twf you didn’t get a PTSD in your youth for the rest of your life
Why are they so obsessed with battle and killing people?
I know it has mostly to do with domination and control but like man there’s so much more to life?
I thought the entire liberal civility thing was about moving society past this kinda shit. That’s the whole neoliberal supposed ideal- it’s all about market forces and zero physical force, the “non aggression principle”. Same dudes wanna talk about how men are made to be warriors, survival of the fittest, etc. When will people realize that perhaps having young guys a bit afraid of snakes, spiders, whatever is preferable to having them grow up surrounded by violence and cruelty, or directly risking their life for imperialism and nationalism?
Might as well be anprims if we’re gonna keep going back to the “good old days” lol
Humans have long since evolved past the need to do shit like that, the only thing keeping us from prospering is a few assholes with way too much resources
Posts like these are made by people who have only fought in GTA V I swear. Actual fighting isn’t even remotely fun and you’d probably end up getting hurt badly or killed. They should step into a boxing ring for once, see if they like it.
And the ones who do perform historical combat usually do so with blunt swords and modern protective gear instead of the real thing (though this is justified as fighting with real weapons would lead to unnecessary loss of life), so the mindset of those who spar in modern times is different to the mindset of the real historical soldiers who were put in actual life-or-death scenarios.
Also, many of these people tend to overlook ranged weapons. (While yes, the shields and armor of those times greatly raise your chances of survival, you are still not invulnerable and can still get killed if unlucky or facing a skilled enough fighter.)
