Well, first of all this is an assumption I can afford college, which before then is an assumption I can pass high school.

Actually I have lots of questions around this idea of even having a career. I feel lost right now, and really only feel working for the revolution is my calling in life.

Is there ways to get there? Is it possible to be a professional revolutionary in the States? How can I build around this purpose?

As someone who studied history at a western university, you will likely feel frustrated and constrained by your professors who only want liberal views expressed. You are better off studying abroad in AES countries to get Marxist history professors.

If going abroad isn’t an option, you can try to study medicine or international law (if you can find any affordable universities for either). Studying Spanish or Mandarin will also be very helpful.

i dont think going though the capitalist systems schools is a great way to fight the system. that being said don’t refrain from doing what you want/can. we all want to be revolutionaries but here in the first world the best thing we can do (at the moment) is aid and support anti capitalist movements around the third world.

political science no. History, maybe. Depends on what specific area you want to study, and what your end goals is. Also, depends on how much debt you rack up.

If you have this much time to plan in advance, and you are aiming to become a professional revolutionary, I would plan to move to China or Cuba and get a degree in Marxism from a state college if I were you. In the states, one can be a revolutionary, but aiming to be a professional one is unlikely. It’s not a thing right now so that would have to change. It’s more of a certainty if you travel abroad. Unless you’re thinking of changing that here, in which case any advice I could provide would fail to assist in that scope of things. Many unknown challenges and some predictably known challenges which will be challenging to overcome. Either way you have a lot of time to consider and plan things, I suggest you do so thoroughly.

Interesting Studying abroad in AES sounds cool, Cuba sounds especially intriguing. Problem is my GPA is in the tank and I’m a senior, will they still take me?

Will I be able to come back to the states? I feel there is a need to counteract the shitstorm with the States as it crumbles. Not to mention I’d feel guilty if I left only for nukes to land in the hands of rabid fascists and boom there goes the whole world.

Strangely Im not worried with the shaky road ahead of my revolutionary journey., who knows maybe I’ll be the next Che Guevara. “The name ‘El Gringo’ still strikes fear in capitalists today” mwahahaha.

Will they still take you? I don’t know. I don’t know if that matters, what the standards are, etc… Will you be able to come back? Depends. If you become the next Lenin I imagine they won’t want to authorize that returning visa.

I study public administration. While I don’t hate it, I’m really frustrated by how liberal all the courses are.

All my classmates are very liberal, the most left-leaning people are social democrats.

There’s also one really conservative person who will definitely be transphobic to me if I come out. I don’t think he’s the only transphobe in the class however, although I think others are more mild and would leave me mostly alone
