No but the military, police and most of the political establishment are. I.e. the people who hold the real power. So long as a country that has been under a right wing influence for so long doesn’t purge its armed and security forces, electing a leftist is pretty much pointless, they will be powerless.
Really puts into perspective how Maduro’s “undemocratic” measures wrt liquidating the National Assembly were almost certainly necessary and forward-thinking
This is what happens when you try to appease the far-right as a leftist president with no prior political experience
Why the hell would you even do that? Are most Peruvians far-right?

You gotta do what you gotta do. As MLs we know that political power is not handed over but taken by force.
Is there really any country
Besides AES countries I guesswhere its military and police force don’t subscribe to a right-wing political ideology? Also, how do you expect to purge the armed and security force of a nation without causing a civil war or possible military takeover?
It’s hard, but somehow Hugo Chávez managed to turn the Venezuelan military Bolivarian and anti-imperialist. After a coup attempt.
Wow, that’s very lucky.
