    No but the military, police and most of the political establishment are. I.e. the people who hold the real power. So long as a country that has been under a right wing influence for so long doesn’t purge its armed and security forces, electing a leftist is pretty much pointless, they will be powerless.

      Really puts into perspective how Maduro’s “undemocratic” measures wrt liquidating the National Assembly were almost certainly necessary and forward-thinking

      Is there really any country Besides AES countries I guess where its military and police force don’t subscribe to a right-wing political ideology?

      Also, how do you expect to purge the armed and security force of a nation without causing a civil war or possible military takeover?
