I was having dinner in a teacher’s lounge during parent-teacher interviews recently and overheard an obnoxious parent making a joke about modern slavery and referring to some fellow Klanadians as peasants to two teachers in front of his kids. Everything this country pretends to be is a lie, and given the choice between deepthroating boot or brown-nosing royals, most Klanadians would find a way to do both
