Does it matter if there’s interest or not? Lemmygrad isn’t like reddit communities don’t matter that much since everyone checks based on what’s new instead of the community
Saw a post on the front page of Reddit about Chinese students protesting against some other student’s presentation on Taiwan.
I don’t know the details of the incident because I didn’t bother to read the article but the comments were disgusting.
“Chinese people can’t think for themselves.”
“Chinese act like barbarians.”
“They should go back to China.”
It’s frightening. All the liberals in the West currently reacting against Kanye’s antisemitism and talking about the Holocaust can’t link that at this rate the same thing is likely to happen in the US to Chinese people and other AAPI. And that they are actively facilitating it.
Again, posting YouTube comments here is just cheating.
We should make a group called smth like “social media screwnshots” for posts like this
Or /c/iamveryedgy
Huh, I might actually make that if there’s enough interest. Is there?

I’m also wondering if I should make it on lemmy.ml or lemmygrad.
