“We’re currently in a scenario where Russia is spending 40 per cent of GDP on this war - that’s more than health and education,” a Western official told The Telegraph this week.

LOL. So cute. I know they’re Brits, but have they looked at the budget breakdown for the military they depend on for national defense (USA)?

With North Korea and Iran, Putin has reliable suppliers of military equipment that don’t care the slightest for their own people’s needs,” said Norbert Röttgen, a former chairman of the Bundestag’s foreign affairs committee.

Fucking ghouls. What do they call 1 million dead from COVID, children in 2024 with food insecurity, more vacant homes than people who are homeless, mass deaths from opioids, and the total evisceration of women’s health?

Gotta give credit where it’s due - all those Soviet AD systems, tanks, everything - while being older, are on par with the new overpriced and over-engineered western stuff made for bullying so-called “Third World” countries. Yes, capitalism is THAT bad.

@mozz@mbin.grits.dev And even more of that data you wanted

By February 2023, a year into the war, European production was estimated at just 300,000 rounds per year.

European production was estimated at just 300,000 rounds per year.

There was another article here recently that talked about US production being at 200-350k per year and european production being much less than that so I wonder who is lying and by how much.

The other article also mentioned that Russia was spending 3.5-10M rounds per year but who knows how precise that is.

Either way it seems like Russia may have access to production being some 4 to 15 times higher than the combined west.
