    I recently learned that striking in Germany is illegal, unless one is part of a sufficiently large union which has voted to strike. Even having done everything apparently legally, the dockworkers have been forced by their employers and courts to only strike for two days.

    The more I learn and read and think about modern Germany, the more I realize that fascism was never defeated here.

      That’s because Western Germany had absorbed DDR, instead of re-unification as intended.

    Still, a strike of this relative size and with explicit class solidarity is really awesome. Maybe Europe as America’s lapdog might be able to crumple before Cold War 2.0 can heat up…the future looking bright as ever.
