What would be your marxist analysis on why there are such few women working/studying in fields like math, engineering and computer science?

    Massively pervasive cradle-to-grave religious-patriarchal propaganda that sees women only as bourgeois wives, breeders, caregivers, and domestic workers, and pushes them into professions aligned to those.

    A Marxist state should emphasize and encourage stem fields in early schooling, and even do affirmative action / incentivized programs for young women to undo thousands of years of patriarchal propaganda and entrenchment.

          My theory is that it’s reactionaries from other lemmy instances who find their way here. I’ve seen comments that are literally just a single neutral sentence with 1 downvote. Their logic likely is “I see tankie, must downvote”.
