It was fine until I got to this:
Most modern communist parties now focus on reform of capitalist societies, rather than on revolution.
Lol. Lmao. lol.
edit: lmfao they recommend that you read Trotsky a little bit later.
Sometimes I genuinely wonder why WikiHow would write a lot of the articles they write. Especially since they don’t seem to research the things they’re writing very well.
How many perspective socialists and communists are using WikiHow as their primary resource? Seriously.
It’s well-known in SEO circles you just need content with targeted keywords, it doesn’t matter that the content is of good quality to a human. You also need links, to some extent.
Wikipedia excels at both, and that’s why they’re always the first search result (they also get linked back to a lot). Wikihow is also good at this and they’re also near the top, though they are more pinpointed (if you search how to… on google, they’ll be the first).
The other day I saw an SEO guru improve traffic twofold and rush to the top results for a client by making 300 pages on 300 different things. That’s pretty much all there is to it lol, just spam articles upon articles for different keywords.
Some communists, however, believe that a peaceful transition to communism is possible. They often call themselves democratic socialists.
I feel the unspoken “Bernie” hovers somewhere near that sentence. Specter of democratic socialism, probably en route to bomb some place.
The guide is basically:
- Read
- Organize
- Praxis
But with more revisionism.
Honourable mentions:

https://www.wikihow.com/Start-a-Revolution
Lol
The difference between anarchists and communists is that communists have read the WikiHow article: How to Start a Revolution.
