    • Libraries originally started being attached to feudal research institutions, and public libraries can safely be considered to have originated with liberals and liberally-inclined lords of the late-feudal era. The idea that poor people are simply lacking education which hinders them from raising their status is a wholly liberal notion

    Lmao they take credit for 8h work days that unions fought for.

    I don’t mean to discredit US worker movements but I feel a part of the worker movement achievements should be attributed to the USSR, who were able to stand up the States without grinding their workers to dust. Ever since the dissolution, the concessions are being rolled back consistently.
