How comically absurd is it that here in good ol’ US of A, you can advocate for genocide into a megaphone in public. Yet if you punch that person for advocating for systematic murder, you are the one who gets arrested and charged.
Hello there.
Also I feel like Tarot cards are so much more interesting in fiction then they are irl. I was considering buying a pack and then kinda just sat there thinking “what the hell am I going to do with these?”
Tbh it feels kinda oversaturated in fiction, or maybe just an easy way to do symbolism without investing time and effort.
“Oh we need a way to represent change”
“Ope here’s the death tarot card”.
“We need a way to represent the start of the adventure”
“Here’s the fool tarot card.” Etc. Etc.
It’s kinda cheap since tarot cards in fiction inherently work via the chekovs gun and similar rules

Insane shit

Seems like a gross overestimate

Nevertheless, the footage shows a fairly large and well organized demonstration. There’s clearly a lot of money being funnelled into this regime change op.
Comparing those images and videos to the Sydney anti-genocide rally I highly doubt 350K people are there.
The street is around 20m wide and it looks like the protest is covering about 4 or 5 blocks (1000-1250m) and the people aren’t packed together so its probably less than 1 person per square meter.
Toronto police originally estimated more than 200,000 people would gather at the solidarity rally, which is marching down Yonge Street Saturday.
In a statement to CBC Toronto Saturday evening, Toronto police said the Global Day of Action Rally in Toronto saw crowds estimated at 350,000.
Toronto police spokesperson Viktor Sarudi said the estimate of 200,000 people came in part from discussions with organizers.
I don’t trust the cops on the numbers. Especially since the original estimate “came in part from discussions with organizers”, and given what kind of “protest” this is, that probably means the cops were part of organizing it, not just tapped for approval.
son

I just realized where the drive for suburbanites to wash their cars comes from. They know they should be spraying something with a hose but instead of watering their tomatoes they are spraying their car.
pop smoke crip walked so i could run
i am genuinely interested to hear u elaborate… seeing a music chat in MY megathread?
tbh it was just a joke… i do listen to a lot of drill tho if ur interested in hearing about it
From Rusia!

A while back I participated in DBT (dialectical behavior therapy). I’ve been wanting to tackle my anger with thinking about or talking about politics. I couldn’t sleep as I was getting angry in my head over make believe scenarios lashing at liberals for all of the insane, fascistic shit they spew. Then in person, I get so blindly angry I just want to scream. The “this is not who we are” schtick from liberals boils my blood, I’m about to strangle someone. I tried all of the therapy techniques and none of them worked.
I feel that this anger is turning me into a reactionary. The only way I can throw water on it is to not participate in politics at all.
There is nothing Reactionary about feeling rage towards hypocritical liberals. Giving into your anger is not a good tactic, especially not at this point in time so you should learn to channel that rage into something useful. Maybe practice some meditation to teach you to control your rage and learn to channel it into motivation for strength building exercises. When the time comes having access to controlled rage will be a good thing.
May help to see if you can channel the energy into clerical organizing work in an org; the kind of work where you don’t have to talk to people a lot, especially liberals. Not everybody has to be a big talker, especially in the capacity of tolerating people who are way different politically.
Lmao @ the Ukrainian athlete who ruined his shot at the Olympics because he just had to wear a helmet with killed people on it. Mate, the IOC is on your side. Russia is already banned. They’re not going to jump through any more hoops.
i wonder how that youtuber bayarea smt is doing, hope he doing well.
We need more China glazers on YT, the ultras and redlibs are too loud these days
Some of the “China glazers” these days are radlibs. Liking China is becoming more and more mainstream. Ultimately that is a good thing though, because it shows that China’s achievements are becoming impossible to avoid or deny. So all sorts of libs are jumping on the bandwagon now. That’s fine. Once again “tankies” were right way before everyone else. We were on China’s side long before it became popular.
Thought after reading the ad script on a box of tuna cans: capitalist marketing is the art of sounding like you’re saying something without actually saying anything.
It’s key to committing to nothing, so that you won’t be held liable for anything.
Been thinking about that tweet that goes, “Climate change will manifest as a series of disasters viewed through phones with footage that gets closer and closer to where you live until you’re the one filming it”.
Metaphorically, this is true of capitalism and its contradictions, not just climate change. Some are more insulated than others for now, but that won’t always be the case.
I don’t mean it in a scary doomer way either, it’s just like… living through decline is not going to be pretty, already isn’t. And it’s not going to turn around unless the regular people oust the imperialists and the capitalists from power.
the stuff in my cultural anthropology class is literally just marxism but with a different name
Sometimes I just look at my uni’s degree sheets and think about double majoring for no reason. Idk why, but it feels good imagining me getting another degree. I think I just like completing things on lists and getting recognition of task completion once I’m done.
Edit: I won’t cause I need to graduate though. But I might minor in physics or stats or something
getting recognition of task completion once I’m done.
oh yeah.
