It causes riots in America too. It just happens so frequently that it’s extremely difficult to organize a collective response for each individual police killing. The French are rioting because they see us and know how shitty their future can be if they don’t respond.
The real difference is that in France the officer gets charged with homicide (which has already happened for this incident). In the US he would get a paid vacation and his badge back.
