minus-square@redtealink23•1 year agoI wonder what this would look like with more accurate figures. The numbers for Ukraine are constantly manipulated in the press. Additionally, the writer’s priority seems to be to emphasise the number of westerners or their allies that are killed. Look at this: at least 85,000 Iraqi civilians were killed, but some estimates place that total much higher. So why not report the more widely accepted figures? That’s asking a lot of the qualifier, ‘at least’.

It’s one of those things we won’t even fully learn in hindsight.
