The Intercept was founded and is funded by billionaire Pierre Omidyar of Ebay fame, a guy with possible connections to intelligence and one who in his “philanthropy” takes after George Soros. He seems like just the sort of ruling class character who would buy off Greenwald and Poitras to protect the surveillance state.
