So the Russian government is dismantling the Ukrainian power grid with one hand, and helping the EU keep the UAF war machine running with the other. Yeah.

So, Ukraine back in 2000’s was stealing russian gas because the very preferential prices were still too much for them, and that was actually the beginning of the chain of events directly leading to what is happening now, and now they would still buy russian energy but 50 times more expensive with a war on top.

Banderites I don’t much care for. It’s the Russian oil companies that piss me off. Don’t tell me they didn’t see this coming. Don’t tell me no-one in FSB or SVR had predicted this could happen. There are our countrymen dying in the trenches and what does the government do? Why it helps EU help people that are killing them! But the traitor is obviously some bloke reading about gays.

Even if we disregard capitalist realism of selling to the enemy, Russia want and must sell energy to Europe, even regradless of economy, because it divide its enemies and dig the ground under EU. And commodities are impossible to control anyway when sold.

divide its enemies and dig the ground under EU

What divide? There was supposed to be a divide between Hungary and EU. Turns out it was only a divide because Hungary wanted the contracts for itself. But the end goal is the same.

But NATO is divided. Turkey is literally bombing US-backed insurgents in Syria, which means that they hate the West so much they are now literally allied with Bashar al-Assad (technically). France and Germany face ire from Poland and the Baltics for “not doing enough”. And Western Europe now is uneasy with the US because they’re starting to realize who ultimately benefits from this whole shebang. NATO will not implode overnight, but the cracks are forming. It will eventually become a hinderment to the European bourgeoisie, and then it will not last long.

Are you perhaps under some illusion that Orban and his govt is anything but fascist? What did you expected? Any divide is better than none (and this is being talked often in EU, it’s not trivial) and russian energy would be sold to EU and UA anyway by Turkey or whonot else. Russia would have to cease any export at all to be sure.

How did you get that from what I wrote?

Yes, that would’ve been nice. Or ya know, switch to customers that aren’t openly and actively supporting a war that is killing our countrymen

How did you get that from what I wrote?

I might have be a little hasty and automatically did a needless rebuttal of “Hungary is antiimperialist” popular theme among some left. Anyway, the divide do exist but it’s about exactly what to expect between middle tier imperialism and their petulant vassals.

                Yes, that would’ve been nice.

Considering how Russia exports look, that would be express NATO win and possibly even yeltsinism back as consequence.

Or ya know, switch to customers that aren’t openly and actively supporting a war that is killing our countrymen

They did a lot of that, but again there’s no guarantee what will happen to the commodities after being sold. Afaik even China is trading russian resources further…

Resources and energy are Russia’s main exports, without them the economy would take a huge hit and country will destabilize, then enter western money, NGO’s etc, colour coup happens, Navalny or some other nazi shit grabs the power and before long it will be repeat of 90’s.
