    If Stalin could have killed every last citizen of the USSR and replaced them with machines with unquestioning loyalty to him alone, he absolutely would have in a heartbeat.

    Why is it when people notice the contradictions of capitalism they feel the need to throw in a “muh communism bad”?

      That’s one of the most insidious and in a way brilliant evil things the bourgeoisie had pulled off - blaming the failings and shortcomings of capitalism on communism. Crooked and convoluted bureaucracy? That’s ebil commies! Shitty healthcare? Commies! Crumbling infrastructure? You guessed it. It’s very noticeable in Russia, even among the generations that actually lived during the Soviet era.
