That’s right, it’s time for weirdos in Russia to complain about this “foreign satanic celebration” and demanding it banned.
It’s… Uh… It’s a Christian holiday? One where rich people traditionally give to the poor in exchange for prayer.
Or is it really on the level of ‘they dressing spooky so they must worship the devil’?
Yes, speaking from personal experience, Russians are extremely superstitious and hardline Christians and do genuinely believe that 8 year old’s pretending to be ghosts is devil worshiping.
Its been painted as a “Western Satan” holiday by state media, and of course people aren’t going to question the mainline liberal news.
