Lviv is possibly the most racist city in the world.
Used to be 1/3rd Jewish (100k+ people), nearly all of them massacred by Bandera’s organization. The Golden Rose Synagogue was destroyed during WW2 and has been turned into a “Jew themed bar” staffed with ethnic Ukrainians who cosplay Jewish people and haggle prices.
Its history is also shitty and full of blood and hate. Just in the interwar period happened there: child soldiers usage by Poles and their subsequent massacre by Ukrainians, at least one big pogroms of Jews, countless smaller atrocities between Poles and Ukrainians (with Jews caught in between hated by both sides), not to mention biggest massacre of workers in interwar Poland. In 1941 immediately after Germans occupied city local inhabitants did one of the worst pogroms of Jews ever. Really shitty place that should be plowed into something more useful like potato fields. Also no wonder polish chauvinists want it so much, they have innate ability to push themselves into worst politics possible.
