Apart from news channels like this one (Wion), our national news service (Doordarshan) on CPC’s 100th anniversary was talking about Tiananmen Square “massacre” and Xi getting his competitors locked up on corruption charges to take hold of the presidency and a ton of other nonsense in the same vein. Apart from this there are tons of bot accounts on all social media constantly stoking communalism and anti-China sentiment.
What exactly is the deal with India’s Anti-Chinaism anyway? The territory disputes and China being friends with Pakistan seem like small stuff compared to benefits of the two cooperating. Is western influence and propaganda that crazily strong and prevalent in India? If so the good relationship has and maintains with Russia even in the midst of this Ukraine conflict doesn’t make a lot of sense.
