As others have pointed out, they’re a fun band with really basic white guy politics, with a lot of nazi fans. They tend to glorify whomever they are singing about, including the nazis in a few other songs, like “Ghost division.” they themselves are not nazis, but let’s just say that any Sabaton fan forum will involve a lot of (((parenthesis))).

Night Witches is one of my all time faves, and yeah, we shouldn’t worry if a band or whatever are libs, but I wouldn’t go to one of their concerts and mingle with their fans.

My own subjective reason: Power metal is mega cringe

My own objective reason: They have multiple songs that are about how cool Nazis are, and I’ll never forgive them for doing a hagiographic song about Nazi scumbag Lauri Törni, as if there aren’t enough people so-trueing over him, they don’t need any more reasons to think a literal SS volunteer was cool

It’s a mixed bag. I think there is room to take inspiration from some of the songs while not totally promoting everything about them or their fans. Having a Reddit account doesn’t mean you have to be subbed to r/thedonald or r/jailbate.

I know, I was just giving an example of a trash subreddit most Redditors didn’t sink to the low of subscribing to while still being on Reddit.

Never heard about them but just read the lyrics. Literally nothing anti Nazi about this song? If anything, regurgitating the clean Wehrmacht myth. Heroism of Nazis “saving” Berlin civilians from the scary commies.

          The Red Army liberated Berlin.

That song is questionable. I think they just make war ballads from multiple sides, but none totally promoting the Nazis? Not to excuse it. On the other hand Panzerkampf is clearly about red army heroism, and others like Rise of Evil are clearly anti-Nazi.

Agreed, although I think the meme is more saying that nazis don’t even like original nazi music anymore. I could be wrong.
