What humiliation? People like Nuland and Blinken will just move onto the next thing and fail upwards from there. These people flourish in the system.

Wonder what nation will suffer as a plaything for these monsters next.

Also it’s not really humiliation, the US accomplished their primary goal in the conflict, to fully turn most of Western Europe into US vassal states. The US blew up nordstream and the Europeans can’t do anything about it. Ukraine is just a pawn in the game that is the geopolitical battle against Russia and China. And the first step of that was to kill any hopes of European sovereignty.

European sovereignty started dying the day it needed US life support for its imperialism and colonialism. I.e. France in Vietnam and UK during the Suez crises. But yes, Nordstream is just another major event in European Sovereignty dying.

It probably started much earlier when the Europeans started fighting each other over colonies in WWI, but this may be a stretch.

European sovereignty could have been maintained within the European continent…

But a combination of Brexit, the loss of cheap energy, and some completely inane decisions by European leadership have brought us to where we are: Europe entirely dependent on one global power for energy and on the other for defence.

Perhaps the wording is intentional to stir a reaction in the reader. “Our great nation has been humiliated! Will you, brave patriot, stand and allow it?!!”
